Space Shift, Inc., a pioneering Japanese company in AI-powered SAR satellite analytics, and VegaCosmos Co., Ltd., a Vietnamese geospatial technology company under Vegastar Group, have officially entered into a strategic business cooperation to develop state-of-the-art geospatial applications and technologies.
The two companies will co-develop cutting-edge geospatial solutions by leveraging Space Shift’s AI-driven remote sensing technologies, with a focus on meeting regional needs across environmental monitoring, urban planning, disaster risk reduction, and smart agriculture.
In a key initiative under the collaboration, VegaCosmos will work closely with Space Shift’s “SateBiz” (formerly known as SateLab) —Japan’s first private-sector satellite data co-creation program—to deploy VegaCosmos’s GEOHUB platform for use by customers in Vietnam and Japan as initial target markets. GEOHUB provides an open, modular platform with plug-and-play satellite tools and APIs that promote advanced remote sensing products and services to a growing user base in Vietnam and beyond. In addition, Space Shift’s proprietary remote sensing applications will be seamlessly integrated into the GEOHUB platform, enabling direct access for customers in key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and insurance.
