Vegastar participates in International Astronautical Congress IAC 2024 in Milan, Italy
From October 14-18, 2024, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Director of the Vega Space and Geospatial Academy (VSGA), had the honor of representing Vietnam as part of the ASEAN delegation from the ASEAN-Italy Cooperation Initiative on Space and Smart Technologies at the 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Milan, Italy. This prestigious event, one of the largest in the global space industry, provided a platform for Mr. Quang and the ASEAN delegation to engage with world leaders in space technology and discuss innovations and sustainable development.
International Astronautical Congress 2024
The International Astronautical Congress is an annual event organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF). It is one of the largest global events in the space field, IAC 2024 with more than 11,200 delegates from 120 countries, including renowned astronauts, leaders from major space agencies, scientists, and industry experts. From the 530+ exhibitors at the Exhibition Hall, which included stunning displays such as lunar samples from China’s Chang’e 6 mission to NASA’s OSIRIS-REx asteroid samples. This was the largest and most diverse IAC in history.
This year’s motto, “Responsible Space for Sustainability,” IAC 2024 aimed to discuss solutions for the safe, peaceful, and sustainable use of space, to protect the planet and ensure development for future generations. The event brought together leaders from 55 major space agencies worldwide, creating opportunities to share knowledge and promote international cooperation on space initiatives for the sustainability of Earth.
