On August 21, 2025, Vegastar and the Vega Institute of Space and Geospatial Technology officially signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG). The ceremony was held solemnly, attended by the leadership of both parties, marking a significant milestone in fostering collaboration between industry and academia.

Representing HUMG were Professor Tran Thanh Hai, Rector; Associate Professor Nguyen Viet Ha, Chairman of the University’s Labor Union and Head of the Public and Corporate Relations Department; Dr. Tran Trung Anh, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Geomatics and Land Management; Dr. Duong Thanh Trung, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Geomatics and Land Management; along with representatives of various departments and faculty members from the Faculty of Geomatics and Land Management.

During the ceremony, attendees watched a video showcasing the development journey, operational fields, and achievements of both organizations. With nearly 30 years of establishment and growth, Vegastar has solidified its position in key sectors, ranging from national defense to civilian applications, particularly in the research and utilization of geospatial data.
In his welcoming speech, Professor Tran Thanh Hai, Rector of HUMG, expressed gratitude to the Vegastar leadership for their visit and collaboration. He emphasized, “Today’s signing is a necessary step, long envisioned by the university, to expand cooperation in training, scientific research, and technology application. HUMG is committed to working closely with Vegastar, overseeing the implementation to ensure deep, meaningful collaboration that brings scholarship, internship, and job opportunities for students.”

Following the speeches, representatives from both sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), officially launching a phase of strategic cooperation. The two parties exchanged commemorative gifts to mark the occasion.
Prior to the ceremony, the two organizations held a meeting to discuss collaboration details at the headquarters of VEGASTAR TECHNOLOGY, located at 37 Thi Sach Street, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi.
