Ho Chi Minh City, October 21, 2025 — Vegastar Technology Group represented Vietnam’s technology sector in articulating its strategic vision for the development of Space Technology and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies at the international forum “Scaling Up Digital Investment 2025: Connecting European Technological Advantage with Vietnam’s Digital Future.” The event marks a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation and digital investment between the European Union (EU) and Vietnam, directed toward a people-centred, sustainable digital economy.
Strategic Forum to Advance EU–Vietnam Technology Cooperation
The forum “Scaling Up Digital Investment 2025”, co-organised by D4D Hub, the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, AVSE Global and EuroCham Vietnam, with the support of the National Data Association (NDA) and Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), serves as a key initiative in the 30-year celebration of diplomatic relations between the EU and Vietnam. It underscores a mutual commitment to advancing a green and sustainable digital economy.

The event brought together senior leaders, international organizations, and major European technology firms. It functioned as a strategic platform connecting knowledge, technology and resources between the EU and Vietnam in the era of global digital transformation. Experts discussed ways to expand digital investment, deepen cooperation in emerging fields such as AI, big data and digital space, and thereby foster growth in a green, transparent and sustainable economy for Vietnam.
Vegastar Collaborates with Leading European Technology Groups
During the forum, Vegastar Technology Group had the honour of participating alongside representatives from major corporations such as Airbus, Thales, Kinéis and the National Remote Sensing Agency (of France) in Panel Session 5: “Space Technologies & AI – Leveraging Tools for Vietnam’s Sustainable Development.”

This session focused on transforming spatial data into national strategic capabilities, enabling governmental agencies and organizations to plan and manage resources more effectively. Experts reviewed current space-technology ecosystems and its potential applications in Vietnam – particularly in sustainable agriculture, smart city planning, climate-change response and clean-energy development. Furthermore, the discussion expanded on opportunities for international research collaboration in AI, space-technology transfer and commercialisation of geospatial data between Vietnam and the EU.
Key international experts in attendance included Ms. Eva Dousset (Deputy Head of Economic Department, Embassy of France in Hanoi), Mr. Nicolas Bernardin (Country Director — Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia & Myanmar for Thales), Mr. Sébastien Laurent (Representative for ASEAN, Kineis) and Mr. Phạm Minh Hải (Deputy Director, National Remote Sensing Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment).

As a guest speaker, Mr Nguyễn Ngọc Quang — Deputy Director of Vegastar Technology Group — shared the development journey of the GEOHUB AI Engine, an intelligent geospatial platform integrating satellite data, IoT and AI, developed and deployed by Vegastar. He emphasised that the GEOHUB AI Engine is not merely a data-analysis tool, but a technological infrastructure designed to convert spatial data into concrete action. The platform is already applied across key domains: forest-monitoring and early-fire detection; land-use change and urbanisation analysis; air- and water-quality monitoring; precision agriculture; disaster-alert systems; and climate-adaptation planning.
International Collaboration — The Key to Innovation
Collaboration between the EU and Vietnam in space technology and artificial intelligence is not only an opportunity to access advanced knowledge and technology but also a stepping stone for Vietnam to become an innovation hub in the region. The “Scaling Up Digital Investment 2025” forum demonstrates the crucial importance of global connectivity, where knowledge and technology are shared to support sustainable development.

The ideas, exchanges and networks established during the sessions reaffirm Vegastar Technology Group’s position within Vietnam’s geospatial-technology ecosystem and open doors to international cooperation—enabling Vietnam to bring a strong voice and creative force to the regional space-technology arena.
While the “Scaling Up Digital Investment 2025” event has concluded, Vegastar’s trajectory of data-driven digital transformation continues unabated. With the vision of “Digital Planet – Sustainable Future,” Vegastar remains steadfast in its pursuit of applying space and AI technology to build a digitised, green and sustainable Vietnam./.
